RS60 Amphibious Jack-up Work Platform

RS60 is a customized amphibious jack-up work platform designed for shallow water, wetlands, soft mud, tidal flats and water-area exploration projects.

Powered by an SK200 excavator, the platform combines amphibious crawler mobility, hydraulic spud-leg lifting, floating pontoons and propeller self-propulsion. It can travel across soft ground, float on water, reach the working position and lift the deck above the water surface to create a more stable working base.

It is especially suitable for CPT geological penetration testing, water-area research, exploration work and shallow water construction support.

Product Highlights

A Compact Amphibious Jack-up Platform for Exploration Work

Functions and Features

1.Hydraulic Spud-leg Jack-up System

RS60 is equipped with a hydraulic positioning spud-leg jack-up system.
After reaching the working area, the spuds are lowered into the waterbed or soft ground. The hydraulic cylinders then lift the platform deck above the water surface, creating a more stable working base.
This is important for CPT testing, exploration work and other operations that require better deck stability than a freely floating platform.

2.SK200 Excavator Power Source

The platform uses an SK200 excavator as the power source.
This configuration provides hydraulic power for platform movement, lifting and related working systems. It also makes the platform more practical for customers who need a proven and serviceable power system.

3.Crawler-type Amphibious Chassis

RS60 uses a customized crawler-type amphibious chassis.
The chassis is designed for mud, wetlands, tidal flats and shallow water conditions. It helps the platform move through low-bearing-capacity ground where ordinary machines may sink or lose traction.

4.Main Pontoon and Side Pontoon Buoyancy

The platform uses main pontoons and side pontoons to provide buoyancy and stability.
The single main pontoon size is 9.6 m × 1.6 m × 2.0 m, while the single side pontoon size is 11 m × 1.5 m × 1.3 m. This pontoon structure supports both flotation and working stability.

5.Doosan TM40 Hydraulic Motors

The walking system is equipped with four Doosan TM40 hydraulic motors.
These motors provide strong driving force for crawler movement and help improve platform mobility in mudflat and shallow water working conditions.

6.10 m Positioning Spuds

RS60 uses 10 m positioning spuds with a 250 mm × 250 mm section.
The spuds help the platform establish support points and improve working stability in shallow water or soft ground.

7.Eight Hydraulic Cylinders

The platform is equipped with eight hydraulic cylinders.
Each spud is controlled by two independent hydraulic cylinders, allowing more flexible lifting and adjustment according to working conditions.

RS60 Functions and Features 1

8.Propeller Hydraulic Self-Propulsion

The hydraulic propeller self-propulsion system allows the platform to move more flexibly on water.
This can reduce dependence on tugboats or auxiliary vessels for short-distance relocation.

9.Detachable Deck Panels

RS60 uses detachable movable deck panels.
This design makes installation, disassembly, maintenance and transportation more convenient.

10.CPT Base Assembly

The platform can be equipped with a CPT base assembly.
The hydraulically slidable base allows geological penetration testing equipment to adjust its working position more flexibly on the platform deck.

11.Safety Facilities

The platform is equipped with safety facilities such as handrails and ladders.
These details help protect workers during installation, testing, exploration and maintenance operations.
