Chain structure
Amphibious excavator pontoon chain (roller chain) of RIVER MACHINERY can be divided into two-rows group and three-rows group. When pontoon chain needs to bear large load and transfer large power, three-rows of pontoon chains can be used.The carrying capacity of the chain is proportional to the number of rows, and the more rows there are, the more difficult it is to make each row under uniform stress. Therefore, the number of rows should not be too much. Two-rows of pontoon chains and three-rows of pontoon chains are commonly used.

Structural form of chain joint
The length of the chain is expressed by the number of chain joints. We usually pick an even number of chain joints. A set of such joints has 488 knot

The chain plate is made of high quality Q785B alloy steel, and the chain is made of 40Cr and heat-treated to improve its strength, abrasion resistance and impact resistance.The chain can be made into standard chains and reinforced chains. Reinforced chains can be used when transmitting high power.

Advantages of the chain: it can maintain accurate average transmission ratio and high transmission efficiency; the chain does’t need large tension, So the load on the shaft and bearing is small ; don’t slip, the transmission is reliable, the overload capacity is strong, and it can work well under low speed and heavy load.

Chain types: standard type and reinforced type.The carrying capacity of the reinforced chain is proportional to the number of rows. However, due to the influence of precision, the load of multiple chains is not easy to be uniform. We will recommend the corresponding number of chains to make the amphibious excavator get better effect in use.

Advantages of chain plate: the special folding groove is built with inner rib to increase the strength and service life of the chain plate.
